I have a feeling 24 is going to be a good year! … although 23 will be hard to beat. Jaime and I bought our first home and got MARRIED. Today is actually our one month anniversary, so it’s kind of a big deal haha. We will hopefully be getting our wedding pictures back this week and I AM SO EXCITED!
I turned 24 on Saturday and it was one of my best birthdays yet! On Friday night a few of my best friends surprised me and we went to Pin-It LIVE. Pin-it LIVE is a workshop where you are able to submit a Pinterest project and then they help you create it! AKA no more spending hours at hobby lobby searching for materials and then running out of time to actually make the project! I’ve already started looking for my next project, and I cant wait to go back!
^They do the hard work for you haha!
^My project! Guess I should start running more HA
^Alyssa’s project – her anniversary date!
^Heather’s project – Scrabble pieces!
I don’t have a close up of Maggie’s project, but she made the cutest shelf/key holder!
On Saturday (my actual birthday), Jaime and I spent the day in Chicago! The day pretty much revolved around food – so it was a good birthday ha! We planned to go to Wildberry Pancakes and Café for brunch and it did not disappoint – it is one of our favorite restaurants in Chicago! There was about an hour wait so we walked over to Millennial Park while we waited.
After brunch, we walked to Navy Pier to try some desserts I had my eye on – they were SO good. I’m ready to go back.
^Strawberry Shaved Snow from Snow Dragon
^Macaroon Ice Cream Sandwich from Snow Dragon
^Had to get some to go!
^S’mores Hot Chocolate from Bombobar!
I wasn’t kidding when I said our day revolved around food haha. Luckily they were all miles apart so we could burn off some calories! We stopped at Ikea on our way home and then ended our trip with dinner at Steak n’ Shake – one of my favorite restaurants that we don’t have in Wisconsin!
It was a perfect birthday spent with my wonderful husband! I can’t wait to see what wonderful things 24 has in store for us!
love, nicole b
