16 Days!
I feel like I have been pregnant forever but at the same time it feels like just yesterday I took my pregnancy test.
The thought that our baby could come any day down is a feeling I can’t describe.
Only 16 Days until I get to hold my sweet baby in my arms instead of my belly.
Today I am sharing a few of my favorite maternity pictures and a couple fun facts from my pregnancy!
How I found out I was pregnant: I actually wrote about this here, but long story short, we were trying and so I was counting down the days until it was close enough to take a pregnancy test! I’m not sure what’s worse, the two week wait prior to your missed period or the two week wait before baby arrives!
How I Broke the News to Jaime: Jaime had a half day at work (thank goodness) and as soon as he got home I had a mama bear shirt on and a cute little box for him to open that had a baby bear onesie, some “I Love Daddy” pacifiers, and the positive pregnancy test in it.
Best Part of the First Trimester: Getting to see our sweet little baby in an ultrasound and hearing the heartbeat. That moment was filled with so so much love and happiness.
Worst Part of the First Trimester: Not getting to tell anyone! We waited until 14 weeks to announce our pregnancy (because we were going to be in Hawaii) and the only people who knew were our parents/siblings and it was so incredibly hard to hide it from so many people when we were so over the moon excited!
First Trimester Cravings: I really didn’t have many cravings throughout my pregnancy, but there was one day in the first trimester when I craved watermelon. It was the strangest thing, because I don’t like watermelon haha. Jaime got home from work and there I was sitting on the couch eating a big bowl of watermelon and he thought it was hilarious!
Best Part of the Second Trimester: Announcing that Baby Becher was on the way! It was so satisfying to be able to openly talk about our little nugget.
Worst Part of Second Trimester: Not finding out the gender! This was really hard for me. I had a couple friends who were due right around the same time as me who all found out the gender’s of their babies and it was hard to see them so happy and excited about the gender knowing I wasn’t going to find out for months!
Second Trimester Food Cravings: Hmm, this has got to be the hardest question. It would be easier to answer what my aversions were! Cravings wise, the biggest one I can think of in the second trimester was nachos!
Best Part of Third Trimester: Putting the babe’s nursery together, my baby shower, and maternity pictures!
Worst Part of Third Trimester: Finding something to wear every morning, the discomfort, and the waiting game of when this babe is going to make their appearance!
Third Trimester Food Cravings: Wings! I could have mild wings every day and not get sick of them!
I will forever love these pictures and the time I got to carry my sweet baby in my belly.
(Pictures taken at 33 weeks)
Love,
Nicole B
